Literacy skills are capitalized on in early childhood programs. Children are quickly acquiring the skills they need to become emergent readers and writers which is why a literacy center is a key learning center to include in a successful early childhood program. There are many options for designing, planning, using, and assessing a literacy center and there are a lot of common mistakes that educators make.
