Please provide appropriate supervision to the children in your care when completing all activities. You will need to decide what types of activities are safe for the children in your care.  Always use caution with anything that young children might put in their mouths.

Materials:
  • Foam shapes in bright colors

  • Gallon Zip Lock bag
  • Duct tape
Procedure:
  1. Prepare the materials by filling the Zip Lock bag with approximately 2 cups of cracked corn and adding the foam shapes.
  2. Invite infant to explore the sensory bag either during tummy time (on a Boppy-type pillow), or during another time. Talk to the infant about the shapes as they find and touch them.
Assessment: Observe and record the infant’s reaction to the shapes and sensory materials.
